Within the Aircraft Systems & Software Area, we are looking for an Aeronautical Structural Virtual Engineer for our Turin site.

Main Activities:

- The resource will be responsible for the sizing and qualification of advanced energy storage systems (such as new generation lithium batteries, supercapacitors) and electrical power regeneration systems, following the entire product life cycle, starting from requirements definition, up to testing and certification.
- Contribute to the development of the design and integration, within the aircraft electrical system, of energy storage and regeneration subsystems;
- Define the technical requirements of the subsystems and their sizing;
- Manage 'Equipment Engineering' activities,



through the preparation of technical specifications for the acquisition of subsystems and equipment and participation in development/qualification by suppliers;
- Contribute to the analysis of electrical loads;
- Support the development of any BMS (Battery Management System) and its related algorithms for monitoring the state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH) for high-energy density battery packs;
- Develop simulation models.

Education:

Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Required experience level:

1-5 years

Technical skills:

- Knowledge of the operating principles of AC and DC electric machines (Brushless and not), of electrical systems and circuits in general;
- Specific competence in energy regeneration and static conversion systems (DC/DC converters, inverters);
- Knowledge of storage systems (batteries, supercapacitors) and their sizing;
- Knowledge of cell chemistries (Li-Ion, Solid-State) and storage dynamics;
- Knowledge of power flow principles;
- Knowledge of the main simulation tools.

Behavioral skills:

- Proactive person, with excellent relational skills and interface with various company figures and with customers, also at an international level;
- Strong problem-solving skills and autonomous management of situations;
- Excellent aptitude for teamwork, also in international and multicultural contexts.

Language skills:

Good knowledge of English.

IT knowledge:

- Advanced knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, State-Flow;
- Knowledge of the IBM Rational DOORS tool is a plus;
- Excellent knowledge of the MS-Office suite.
