Overview

In this role, you will design, develop and commission SCADA systems for rail projects, ensuring time, quality, and cost targets. You will work in an international, multi-site setting to translate requirements into robust control solutions. You will oversee documentation, interfaces, testing, and safety considerations throughout the project life cycle. This position offers the chance to shape SCADA architectures and contribute to Hitachi Rail’s digital transformation in rail operations.

Responsabilità

- Design, develop and commission SCADA systems for Tender and Backlog Projects
- Budget man-hours for project activities
- Analyze specifications and contracts to extract requirements for SCADA developers
- Lead SCADA system design with documentation aligned to international standards
- Coordinate with other company departments to fulfill technical tasks
- Monitor compliance with requirements, standards, and norms across the project life-cycle
- Define interface data and establish relationships for external parties
- Present design content and progress to stakeholders
- Ensure test commissioning documents meet quality standards
- Participate in factory, site, and interface tests involving SCADA systems




- Perform first-level troubleshooting for technical issues
- Ensure Health & Safety regulations are applied

Requisiti fondamentali

- Good interpersonal skills with international teams
- Ability to work in dynamic, multi-site environments
- Willingness to travel for medium durations
- Ability to prepare technical specifications and papers
- Ability to develop SCADA systems to meet project needs
- Fluent English (speaking and writing)
- Good knowledge of Windows Office and basic Autocad
- Familiarity with Design and Commissioning Process and Site activities
- Basic knowledge of RAMS concepts
- Basic knowledge of electrical and relay circuits, mechanics and thermal phenomena, power distribution, grounding, electronics, microcontroller programming, motors control, sensors, cabling, and communication protocols (CAN bus, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Modbus)
- Reading civil and electrical drawings
