Changan Italy is embarking on an exciting phase of growth and is looking for an experienced, business-focused Legal & Compliance Manager to establish and lead its legal and compliance function in Italy.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will serve as the trusted legal partner to all business functions, including Sales, Marketing & Communications, Aftersales, Finance, Logistics, IT, and Human Resources, providing practical, commercially focused legal advice while ensuring compliance with Italian and European regulatory requirements.

You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the legal infrastructure, governance model, and compliance framework required to support Changan's continued expansion.

What You Will Do

Act as the primary legal advisor to the Italian business, providing pragmatic and forward-thinking legal support across a broad range of automotive and commercial matters, including:

- Dealer law and dealer network management
- Automotive selective distribution systems
- Antitrust and competition law
- EU automotive regulations
- Product compliance and conformity requirements
- Product liability
- Vehicle type approval, homologation, and regulatory affairs
- Consumer protection law
- ESG and sustainability requirements

Commercial & Corporate Legal Support

- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial agreements, including dealer, supplier, logistics, technology, and service contracts.
- Support strategic projects, commercial initiatives, and business negotiations.
- Provide practical and risk-based legal advice to management and key stakeholders.




- Identify opportunities and solutions that enable business growth while protecting the company's interests.
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and specialist advisors.

Compliance & Governance

- Design, implement, and continuously improve the legal and compliance framework for the Italian entity.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Italian and European laws and regulations.
- Support corporate governance activities and regulatory obligations.
- Establish policies, processes, and controls that promote ethical business practices.
- Drive legal awareness and a strong culture of compliance across the organization.

Employment & Labour Law

- Partner with HR on employment contracts, policies, and employee relations matters.
- Advise on organizational development, workforce planning, and labour law compliance.
- Provide guidance on employment-related risk management and workplace matters.

Marketing & Consumer Affairs

- Review marketing campaigns, advertising materials, promotions, and external communications.
- Advise on consumer protection, advertising standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the business in delivering compliant and effective customer communications.

Aftersales & Consumer Legal Matters

- Advise on vehicle safety recalls, service campaigns, and market surveillance obligations.
- Support product compliance and product liability matters.
- Provide legal guidance on warranty programmes, customer claims, and dispute resolution.
- Advise on spare parts distribution and aftersales regulatory requirements.

Data Privacy & Technology

- Support data protection and privacy compliance programmes.
- Advise on IT contracts, technology implementation projects, and information governance.




- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations.

Logistics & Supply Chain

- Provide legal support to logistics, importation, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Review and negotiate logistics and supply chain agreements.
- Advise on operational and regulatory matters affecting the movement of goods and services.

What We Are Looking For Qualifications & Experience

- Law degree.
- Qualification as an Italian lawyer is preferred.
- Proven experience in commercial and corporate legal matters, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of Italian corporate, commercial, labour, and compliance law.
- Experience supporting diverse business functions in a fast-paced organization.
- Previous exposure to the automotive, mobility, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is highly desirable.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
