MacGregor is seeking Service Engineers specializing in Mechatronics, Mechanics, Hydraulics and/or Electrical systems to join our newly established Service Team in Trieste.

In this role, you will perform service activities including the repair and maintenance of marine equipment such as deck machinery, hatch covers, RoRo equipment and cranes, along with MacGregor and third-party systems. You will work both independently and as part of a team, developing your technical expertise while supporting customers across a wide range of service assignments.

This role requires extensive European travel to client sites, shipyards, and vessels. Given our global client base, high flexibility is essential.



Our office is in Trieste for local assignments, so living within reach is required.

More tasks and responsibilities

- Perform service activities such as refurbishment, upgrades, inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on MacGregor and equivalent equipment.
- Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems.
- Document work, share learnings, and contribute to continuous improvement and best practices.
- Support customers and ensure high-quality service delivery during field assignments.
- Ensure that all activities comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS), QHSE and other rules and requirements according to MacGregor standards.

What you’ll need to succeed

- Apprenticeship, technical diploma, or degree in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, marine engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience - we welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
- Previous experience on MacGregor or similar equipment is considered a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to interpret product manuals and technical schematics.
- Proficient English skills for effective on-site communication and reporting.




- Must hold a valid driving licence.
- Willingness and adaptability to travel extensively throughout Europe, including multi-week and overnight trips.
