Job Description

Arendal is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer / P6 Planner to join our team in Milan, Italy, supporting international EPC projects in the Oil & Gas sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and schedule control, with advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish baselines, milestones, critical paths, and project interfaces.
- Monitor actual progress against the approved schedule.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) and schedule variance analysis.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress curves, S-curves, KPIs, and forecasts.
- Identify potential delays and develop recovery and mitigation plans.
- Monitor Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities.
- Coordinate schedule updates with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project Management teams.
- Monitor engineering deliverables, procurement status, material deliveries, and construction milestones.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.




- Participate in progress and project control meetings.
- Support management with reliable schedule information for project decision-making.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, Project Planner, or P6 Planner.
- Strong hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Energy, Pipeline, Offshore, or Industrial Construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, progress measurement, forecasting, and critical path analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and international environments.
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Availability to work on-site in Milan, Italy.
- Candidates currently authorized to work in Italy / European Union are highly desirable.
