Within the Electronics Division, we are looking for a Microelectronics Technician for our Rome Tiburtina office.

The person will be integrated into the Microwave Lab team in a motivating and interdisciplinary work environment made up of microwave technicians, engineers and physicists; interacting with other engineering areas.

The resource will be placed in a laboratory (clean room) and will deal with chip integration activities in packages, participating in the different phases of the microelectronic assembly process. In particular, they will be responsible for:

- dispensing conductive and dielectric resins;

- positioning and alignment of chips;





- creation of interconnections via microwires (wire bonding) and/or ribbons;

- encapsulation and sealing activities of packages.

The figure will operate following technical procedures and quality standards, with the support and guidance of expert personnel.

The area is pre-industrial development and therefore close collaboration with process engineers and microwave designers is required.

Educational qualifications:

Diploma from a Technical Institute

Seniority

- Junior: 1-3 years of experience

Knowledge and technical skills

- Passion for microelectronics: strong motivation to learn electronic assembly and integration activities.

- Excellent manual skills: precision, steady hand and coordination for handling miniaturized components.

- Use of precision instruments: predisposition to the use of microscopes, tweezers, soldering irons and laboratory equipment.

- Reading technical drawings: basic ability to understand electrical diagrams, integration plans and process documentation.

- Basics of micro-assembly: theoretical or academic knowledge of bonding and brazing techniques (chip in package).

- Process flows: basic notions on sealing and encapsulation of ceramic and plastic packages.

- Quality and method: aptitude to follow operating procedures and quality standards in controlled environments (e.g. clean rooms).

- Soft skills: accuracy, strong attention to detail and predisposition to teamwork.

Language skills:

English B1 level

Behavioral competencies:

- Proactivity;

- ability to work in a team;

- aptitude for problem solving;

- flexibility in dealing with topics outside one's domain of competence.
