We are seeking an experienced Design Manager (m/f/d) for our exciting Pharmaceutical Facilities project in Milan.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Coordinate disciplines and project activities, control and forecast engineering deliverables against schedule and project milestones
Work in close coordination with procurement, subcontracting, construction and project controls teams
Prepare and review material and construction requisitions for mechanical, piping and utility systems
Manage the preparation of key multidisciplinary project documents (P&IDs;, equipment lists, line lists, utility consumption data, design specifications, etc.)
Organize, contribute to and document multidisciplinary coordination meetings to ensure timely project execution
Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical industry requirements, quality standards and applicable regulations
Support design reviews, risk assessments and technical evaluations throughout the project lifecycle
Report directly to the Project Manager
Show your expertise
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a related discipline




Minimum of 10 years of experience as Project Engineer, Lead Engineer or Design Manager within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences or related industries
Strong understanding of GMP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical facility design is highly desirable
Nice-to-have: Experience working on construction sites and brownfield projects
Very good knowledge of Italian and English
Willingness to travel and work within multidisciplinary and international teams
The salary range for this position is between € 54,500 and € 61,500 gross per year (full-time).
The exact salary will be determined within this range based on objective and transparent criteria, including role scope, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
