Overview

In this Materials Engineer role, you will lead complex material investigations, testing, and failure analyses for turbomachinery components. You’ll work with Design Engineering and Root Cause Analysis to align laboratory findings with service conditions, driving reliability and continuous improvement. You’ll apply advanced materials expertise to support energy decarbonization and quality standards. This position offers hands-on lab leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to shape materials strategies at scale.

Responsabilità

- Execute laboratory activities and produce technical documentation compliant with procedures and QMS
- Review testing requests for completeness and requisite documentation
- Collect, digitalize, manage, and analyze materials property data
- Collaborate with Root Cause Analysis teams to gather operational and design information
- Perform complex laboratory examinations, investigations, and failure analyses
- Review and validate lab technicians' results and investigations




- Develop and update laboratory procedures, test methods, and processes
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements
- Support continuous improvement of lab methods, equipment, and data management

Requisiti fondamentali

- MSc in Materials Engineering
- At least 2 years of experience in materials engineering, laboratory testing, or failure analysis
- Technical expertise in metallic materials, special processes, testing methodologies, fractography, and materials behavior
- Proficiency with optical microscopes, SEM/EDS, tensile testing machines, and hardness testing equipment
- Knowledge of ISO and Nadcap quality standards
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion
