role overview
the incumbent will support the unhrd network finance function and contribute to the effective management of accounts payable, customer billing, master data management, cash administration and internal control activities.
key responsibilities
- gather information and support the drafting of documents and preparation of reports.
- respond to queries and provide timely and accurate service to clients.
- process and manage routine administrative and financial tasks, including accounts payable and cash administration.
- provide revision and proof‑reading services for standard documents.
- maintain standard systems and files to ensure information is accurate and readily available.
- identify simple discrepancies in data and report them to senior staff.
- guide junior colleagues on routine business support methods and practices.
other post requirements
- accounts payable supportreceive and process vendor invoices, verify supporting documents, register transactions and ensure timely approval and payment.
- assist with sap financial entries, monitor outstanding items and support basic reconciliations for internal control, audit and management review.
- manage petty cash in line with wfp procedures and provide general administrative and finance support as required.
qualifications and experience
- secondary school education; a post‑secondary certificate or diploma in finance, accounting, business administration, economics or a related field is desirable.
- at least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, treasury or related business support functions.
- experience in accounts payable, invoice processing and financial reconciliation activities.
- experience with erp systems, preferably sap or similar platforms.
- knowledge of international accounting standards (ifrs, ipsas) is desirable.
- fluency in english (c level).
