Semiconductor MNCs and their GVCs are central to digital transformation, advanced manufacturing, and clean-energy technologies. However, this industry is also highly exposed to critical-material dependencies, geopolitical supply risks, short technology cycles, and increasing volumes of electronic waste. These challenges make innovations that incorporate circularity principles increasingly important, not only as an environmental response but also as a strategic pathway for improving material efficiency, supply-chain resilience, and long-term industrial sustainability.

This project entails first an analysis of the literature on the relationship(s) between circular innovation,



competitiveness, and performances at different levels of analysis. This phase will be used to construct a conceptual framework that advances the understanding of the phenomena under investigation. xjncmbx Quantitative data will be collected, and case studies might be conducted to test the validity of the conceptual models.

Oral test aimed at ascertaining candidates’ aptitude and suitability to carry out the activity covered by the contract, as well as at assessing their knowledge of English and/or other languages relevant to the activities to be performed (up to 35 points)

Relevance and pertinence of the enclosed publications to the activity covered by the contract (up to 25 points)

Relevance and pertinence of previous research activities, previous collaborations to educational and third mission activities and work experience, if any, in relation to the activity covered by the contract (up to 20 points)

Relevance and pertinence of their study programme to the activities covered by the contract (up to 20 points)
