AuthenticPugliaTours is an incoming tour operator specializing in tailor-made travel experiences in Puglia and Matera.

We work with travel agencies, tour operators, and international private clients from the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and other key markets, creating authentic, high-quality and carefully curated travel experiences across Southern Italy.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Travel Designer & Operations Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of professional experience in incoming tourism, preferably with a strong knowledge of Puglia and the local tourism industry.

This is a hands-on role combining travel design, sales, supplier management and operations. You will be involved throughout the entire travel journey: from receiving the initial request and designing tailor-made itineraries, to coordinating suppliers, managing bookings and providing support before, during and after the trip.

We are looking for someone who knows the destination, understands the needs of international travelers and can turn a client brief into a well-designed, seamless and memorable travel experience.

What You Will Do

- Design tailor-made travel itineraries in Puglia and Matera for international clients and travel partners.
- Manage the entire booking process, from the initial inquiry to final confirmation.
- Communicate with international clients and travel agencies, understanding their needs and developing personalized proposals.
- Coordinate hotels, masserie, private transfers, guides, drivers, experiences, restaurants and other local suppliers.
- Negotiate rates,



conditions and services with suppliers and partners.
- Manage supplier relationships and continuously expand and improve the company's local network.
- Ensure that all travel arrangements are accurate, consistent and aligned with the client's expectations.
- Coordinate the operational aspects of trips before and during the client's stay.
- Handle last-minute requests, changes and unexpected situations with a solution-oriented approach.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of our travel products and experiences.
- Maintain accurate information and supplier data within the company's management systems.
- Collaborate with the team on sales, operations and destination development.
- Provide post-trip follow-up and contribute to collecting client feedback.

Who We Are Looking ForEssential Requirements

- At least 2 years of professional experience in incoming tourism, preferably in Puglia or Southern Italy.
- Excellent knowledge of Puglia as a destination, including hotels, masserie, experiences, transportation, restaurants and local suppliers.
- C1 level English, both written and spoken.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, deadlines and bookings simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.




- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for travel, hospitality and creating meaningful experiences.
- A flexible, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to think outside the box.

Nice to Have

- Degree or academic background in Tourism, Hospitality, Economics, Languages or a related field.
- Experience working with international travel agencies or tour operators.
- Knowledge of other languages, particularly German, French or Spanish.
- Experience with travel management systems, CRM platforms or booking software.
- Good knowledge of Excel and other digital tools.
- Experience in luxury travel, experiential tourism or destination management.
- Established relationships with local suppliers in Puglia.
