We invite applications for a research position to work on lithium recovery and separation using mining waste as a source material. The project will be located at the University of Padua (Italy) and develops within a larger research collaboration on the recovery of critical elements from mining waste between the Department of Geosciences and Minerali Industriali S.r.l..

Applicants should have a Master or PhD in either chemical or process engineering, chemistry, geoscience, or a related field and expertise in experiments and modeling of adsorption and precipitation processes. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are necessary. The position is for 1 year starting from December 2026 or January 2027.
