Offer Description technical-specialist support for the CONVECS and SysBioBig projects, contributing to the development, integration, and operational management of the UPSCALE HPC infrastructure;

installation, configuration, administration, and monitoring of: CPU and GPU computing clusters, storage systems, virtualization and cloud computing platforms, orchestration and workload management systems;

collaboration in troubleshooting and capacity planning activities;

automation of operational processes;

integration with the federated nodes of the CONVECS project;

support for the execution of high-computational-intensity artificial intelligence applications;

technical-specialist support, within the scope of the SysBioBig projects,



for the development of computational pipelines and reproducible workflows for the analysis of biological and biomedical data using deep learning techniques;

promotion of technology transfer and support for the University's research community.

To perform these duties, the following professional abilities, knowledge and competencies are required:

skills in the administration of Linux systems as well as HPC and GPU infrastructures;

skills in the management of: computing clusters, storage systems, cloud and virtualization platforms;

knowledge, also acquired through experience, regarding: Python programming, use of artificial intelligence and deep learning frameworks, such as, by way of example but not limited to, PyTorch and TensorFlow, development of computational pipelines and reproducible workflows, analysis of biological and biomedical data, use of version control and containerization tools, such as Git and Docker;

problem-solving skills;

organizational autonomy;

aptitude for interdisciplinary work and collaboration with research groups and technical-scientific staff;

knowledge of the English language (reference level "B2").
