Senior Pipeline Engineer – Oil & Gas

We are looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join an Oil & Gas project based in Milan. The successful candidate will have solid experience in pipeline engineering, fabrication and offshore installation, ideally gained on complex subsea and brownfield projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical expertise throughout the pipeline engineering, fabrication and installation phases of the project.
- Review and monitor pipeline manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and quality requirements.
- Provide technical oversight of CRA and clad pipeline manufacturing, including Mechanically Lined Pipes, clad pipes and weld overlay solutions.
- Review manufacturing, inspection and testing procedures, identifying and managing potential technical and metallurgical risks.
- Support the engineering and construction teams on pipeline installation activities, including offshore S-Lay/J-Lay operations.
- Review and provide technical input on installation procedures, method statements, layability studies and associated engineering documentation.
- Provide technical support for subsea tie-ins, risers, PLETs/PLEMs and other subsea pipeline components.
- Review welding procedures and technical documentation related to pipeline fabrication and subsea tie-ins.
- Support critical installation activities such as shore approaches, abandonment & recovery operations and subsea connections.
- Liaise with EPC/EPCI contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Contribute to technical reviews,



risk assessments and resolution of engineering and construction-related issues.

Requirements
- Degree in Engineering , preferably Mechanical, Civil or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in pipeline engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven experience with subsea/offshore pipeline projects and pipeline installation activities.
- Good knowledge of pipeline fabrication, welding, inspection and testing.
- Experience with CRA, clad pipes, MLP and/or weld overlay technologies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards.
- Previous experience working with EPC/EPCI contractors and international project teams.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English ; Italian is considered a plus.
- Availability to work from Milan .
