About the Role

We are hiring an Instrumentation Engineer to join our Engineering team based in Rome, Italy.

If you have solid experience in instrumentation engineering within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG or Energy sector and would like to contribute to challenging international EPC projects, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop instrumentation design for oil & gas projects.
- Prepare instrument datasheets, specifications, requisitions, and material take-offs.
- Design and review: pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement systems; control, on-off and safety valves.
- Prepare and review instrument Index; I/O Lists; hook-up Drawings; instrument Location Plans; Cable Schedules, Cable RoutingsP&IDs.;
- Participate in hazardous area classification reviews and select suitable equipment for hazardous locations.
- Interface with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecom, and Automation disciplines.
- Coordinate vendors and package suppliers for instrumentation deliverables.
- Coordinate External Engineering Service Suppliers;
- Review vendor documentation and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor selection.




- Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
- Verify instrument installation and calibration.
- Assist in loop checking, functional testing, and system start-up activities.
- Troubleshooting instrumentation issues.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
- Design systems in accordance with process safety requirements.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, risk assessments, and design reviews.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all project phases.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent).
- 7 years of experience in Instrumentation Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refining, or Energy projects.
- Experience in FEED, EPC, and detailed engineering phases.
- Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, hazardous area requirements, and international standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX/IECEx).
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, Loop Diagrams, Cause & Effect Charts, and engineering documentation.
- Good command of English (minimum B2 level).
- Availability for national and international site assignments/missions.
