The company

The Football Factory (TFF) is building a new asset class: football-anchored ecosystems that integrate football, real estate and technology, natively, from day one. Our first Football Citadel is secured near Porto, Portugal; three more are planned. We are closing a public crowdfunding round ahead of target and are now moving toward a Series A.

The role

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a genuinely complex, multi-jurisdiction group at a pivotal moment: the transition from an early-stage raise to institutional capital. This is not a steady-state CFO seat. It requires someone who can raise capital, structure it, and hold together the finances of a cross-border group that spans football operations, real estate development and a technology business — each with a different economic profile.

The right person combines the credibility to sit in front of institutional investors and lenders with the hands-on rigour to run the group's finances day to day.

Key responsibilities

Capital raising & investor relations

Fundraising leadership: lead the execution of the Series A and the subsequent bond issue, from materials and financial narrative through to negotiation and close.

Investor & lender relations: own the relationship with institutional investors, funds and lenders; build and maintain the financial story that underpins each capital event.

Capital structure: design and manage the group's capital structure across equity and debt, in coordination with external counsel and advisors.

Group finance, across borders

Multi-jurisdiction finance: run treasury, reporting, consolidation and financial control across the group's entities (UK,



Estonia and asset-level SPVs across jurisdictions).

Financial planning & modelling: own the group financial model, budgeting, forecasting and the analysis that supports strategic decisions.

Controls & compliance: put in place robust financial controls, the Financial Authority Matrix, and cross-border tax and regulatory compliance.

Corporate structure & entities

Group architecture: partner with the CEO and external counsel to design and build out the group's corporate structure — holding companies, operating entities and asset-level SPVs across jurisdictions — ensuring it is efficient, investor-ready and fit for the coming bond issue.

Entity governance: oversee the incorporation, capitalisation and ongoing corporate maintenance of group entities, including cap table integrity, statutory filings and corporate records.

Structuring for capital events: ensure the corporate and holding structure is optimised and transaction-ready ahead of the Series A and the bond, coordinating tax and legal advisors across jurisdictions.

Business partnering

Board & CEO partner: act as the financial right hand to the CEO and a credible voice to the board on all financial matters.

Cross-functional: partner with the corporate/transactions function on acquisitions and with club-level finance on operational numbers, keeping the group financially coherent.





What we're looking for

- A CFO or senior finance leader with a genuine track record in fundraising — equity and, ideally, debt/bond capital markets.
- Real experience of cross-border businesses and multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction structures.
- The ability to operate in a complex, non-standard business that blends real estate, operating businesses and technology — comfortable where there is no ready-made playbook.
- Strong command of capital structure, financial modelling, controls and reporting.
- The credibility to represent the group to institutional investors, banks and advisors.
- An entrepreneurial, high-ownership temperament suited to a founder-led, fast-moving environment.

Why this role

This is a founding-level finance seat at the exact moment the group scales from a crowdfunding round to institutional capital and from one Citadel to a multi-club, multi-asset platform. The CFO will not inherit a finished machine, they will build the financial engine that carries TFF through its Series A, and the decade of growth that follows.

Compensation

This role's compensation is structured in two distinct phases:

Phase 1 — From start date until the successful close of the Series A financing round: Compensation is paid entirely in equity in the group. No cash salary is paid during this phase.

Phase 2 — From the successful close of the Series A financing round onward: The role transitions to a full-time cash salary, at market-standard levels for this position, paid in addition to (not in replacement of) the equity earned during Phase 1.
