EFI is looking for a Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer to join our engineering team in Italy, Bergamo (Comun Attuale). As Mechanical Engineer you will be part of the manufactoring technical office team, working in a multidisciplinary environment to manage new products within the textile-printing industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive design improvements across the existing product portfolio.
- Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary R&D; Engineering team.
- Lead mechanical engineering activities across multiple projects, including cost analysis, technical specifications, risk assessment, and validation testing requirements.
- Partner with Supply Chain to identify cost reduction opportunities through alternative materials, suppliers, and manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Test Engineering teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and manufacturability of product components.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a technical office, engineering, or product development function.




- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, product construction methods, and engineering calculations for complex assemblies and systems.
- Experience in prototype development, testing, validation, and coordination of prototype build activities.
- Ability to create engineering concepts and design solutions, translating them into detailed 3D models and technical drawings; experience with PTC Creo Elements/Direct is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, proactive attitude, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and organizational levels.
- Experience managing relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Broad multidisciplinary technical knowledge is considered an advantage.
- Fluent in both Italian and English, spoken and written.

Preferred Competencies

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials engineering.
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Experience working in cross-functional product development environments.
