The role leverages real-world data, lessons learned, customer feedback, warranty information, and reliability analysis to improve product quality, manufacturing performance, and future product designs.
The position leads structured problem-solving activities, drives robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and ensures corrective actions are effectively implemented to improve customer satisfaction and product reliability.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Analyze field, warranty, and customer quality data to identify performance trends, recurring failures, and improvement opportunities.Lead and facilitate 8D investigations for customer complaints, field failures, warranty claims, and recurring quality issues.Drive robust Root Cause Analysis utilizing 5 Why, Fishbone, Is/Is Not, Fault Tree Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe,
and other structured methodologies.Coordinate containment, correction, corrective action, and preventive action activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Service.Validate root causes through testing, inspection, statistical analysis, and engineering evidence.Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure sustainable implementation.Interface with factories to drive manufacturing improvements and deployment of lessons learned.Provide quality and reliability inputs into DVT, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and product development activities.Define and lead Product Quality Plans including EOL testing and validation requirements.Monitor prototype builds, participate in approval processes, and report results.Partner with Supplier Quality Engineering and Procurement to improve supplier performance and reliability.Support development of quality processes, inspection plans, and Critical-to-Quality controls.
