Responsabilità

Design and develop advanced SSCB hardware, including semiconductor stacks, gate drivers, and protection schemes for DC applications Perform circuit-level and system-level simulations to assess performance under fault and transient conditions Contribute to thermal analysis and power loss estimation for reliable SSCB hardware Select and qualify power semiconductor devices and passive components; collaborate with suppliers for validation Lead prototype development: build hardware demonstrators, define tests, execute validation and analyze results Troubleshoot hardware/design issues during development and post-deployment; implement corrective actions Support PCB layout using Altium Designer with emphasis on insulation voltage, signal integrity, and EMC Prepare detailed technical documentation, design reports,



and test procedures across product lifecycle Collaborate with mechanical and electronic engineers, layout designers, and testing teams to meet milestones Share knowledge and best practices with the broader engineering team Drive targets for quality, time, scope, and cost while addressing technical risks Communicate in English

Requisiti fondamentali

Master in Electrical Engineering or PhD with focus on Power Electronics 5+ years of professional experience in power electronics design and development Expertise in power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC/GaN) including thermal/electrical characterization Knowledge of DC/DC, inverter, rectifier topologies and advanced DC switching techniques Hands-on experience with thermal and electrical simulation tools (PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, Ansys Maxwell, Icepak, SIMetrix) Experience with PCB design and layout optimization; familiarity with Altium Designer and PSPICE Proficiency with lab measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNA, impedance analyzers) Familiarity with MATLAB and Python for numerical computation; agile R&D; experience Experience in SSCB design, DC power applications, and SiC/GaN devices preferred Knowledge of IEC/UL standards for DC protection/switching; publications or patents are a plus Ability to work independently in an agile team; English communication skills strong problem-solving mindset cross-functional collaboration proactive risk management Power electronics design Thermal and electrical characterization DC/DC converters, inverters, rectifiers
