Project Reporting Engineer – Oil & Gas

We are looking for a Project Reporting Engineer to join an important Oil & Gas project based in Milan.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and presenting project information, supporting management in monitoring project performance, progress, costs, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities;

Project Reporting

- Prepare and issue daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc project reports.
- Consolidate information from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, HSE, cost, and planning teams.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, and aligned with project requirements.

Data Analysis & Project Controls

- Collect and validate project progress data from planning, cost control, and site teams.
- Analyze project performance, trends, deviations, and potential risks.
- Work with planning data, including Primavera P6 schedules.

Dashboards & Management Reporting

- Develop dashboards, charts, and presentations for project management and stakeholders.
- Prepare executive-level summaries and highlight reports.
- Provide clear and concise analysis to support project decision-making.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, HSE, quality, and project controls teams to collect timely information.
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely progress reporting.
- Support the Project Controls Manager and Project Management team with reporting activities.





Reporting Procedures & Compliance

- Ensure reporting activities follow established project procedures and governance requirements.
- Maintain consistency and traceability of project information.
- Support internal audits and ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, EPCIC, or PMC projects.
- Previous experience in project reporting, project controls, or performance management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word.
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting/dashboard tools is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Earned Value Management is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Fluent English.
- Based in or willing to work in Milan.
