The **Senior Claims Handler Casualty** will play a pivotal role in ensuring that both **domestic and multinational casualty claims** are managed with the highest level of technical expertise, professionalism, and consistency. This role is intended to materially strengthen Italy’s capability to manage increasingly complex and diversified claims portfolios, while also supporting broader regional growth ambitions across **Continental Europe.**The successful candidate will be able to build and develop strong relationships with customers, brokers, underwriters and service providers in order to achieve economic results and offer a high-quality claims service.**Location:** This position will be based out of our **Milan** office. We strive for collaboration, which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long lasting careers. **Our business, your impact, our opportunity:** **What you’ll be doing:*** **Strong technical expertise in Casualty claims**, including liability, bodily injury, property damage and related legal principles.* **Minimum 5 years’ experience in Casualty claims handling**, within the insurance or reinsurance market.* **Cost control and recovery focus**, with the ability to manage claims costs and identify subrogation opportunities.* **Efficient claims handling** to support customer satisfaction,



broker relationships and client retention.* **Timely investigation and resolution** of claims to reduce exposure and overall loss costs.* **Claims trend analysis** to support loss prevention and improve risk management.* **Ability to assess coverage, liability, causation, quantum and reserving** in complex Casualty matters.* **Strong stakeholder management skills**, working with insureds, brokers, TPAs, adjusters, lawyers and internal teams.* **Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements** relevant to Casualty claims.* **Fluent business English required**; additional languages would be an advantage. **Strategic importance of the role*** **At regional level**, this additional expertise will support Continental Europe’s objective of building a more resilient, scalable, and technically robust claims framework, capable of responding to evolving market demands and enabling sustainable growth.* Beyond its immediate technical value, the role will also contribute to the wider business by strengthening collaboration with underwriting, supporting portfolio development.* The successful candidate will therefore be instrumental not only in supporting business expansion, but also in delivering first-class claims service, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving operational excellence.
