Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist specialised in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Environmental Footprint, responsible for managing, validating, and analysing sustainability datasets and supporting data-driven environmental assessment solutions.

The project

You will contribute to data science and sustainability activities within an international project supporting European institutions and agencies, working with complex datasets and analytical solutions related to environmental assessment and sustainable decision-making.

LCA Data Management: Collect, validate, maintain, and analyse Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Footprint datasets, ensuring data consistency, quality and interoperability.

Sustainability Analysis: Perform data‑driven sustainability analyses across supply chains, supporting the assessment of environmental impacts, energy consumption and raw material use.

Data Analysis & Processing: Apply statistical analysis, data validation, information extraction, anomaly detection, text classification and reproducible dataset generation techniques.

Communication & Knowledge Transfer: Communicate analytical results,



models, assumptions and limitations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders through clear documentation, reports, workshops and training activities.

Scientific & Technical Contribution: Contribute to technical documentation, scientific reporting and to the preparation of analytical outputs and publications within an international multidisciplinary environment.

- LCA & Environmental Footprint: OpenLCA, SimaPro, Ecoinvent, Sphera, ILCD, LCA data formats and interoperability, Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Footprint.
- Data Science & Statistics: Statistical analysis, data validation, data visualisation, information extraction, anomaly detection, text classification and reproducible datasets.
- Sustainability Data: Environmental assessment, supply chain analysis, energy and raw material assessment, sustainability datasets.
- Documentation & Communication: Technical documentation, scientific reporting, training and workshops, communication of analytical results to technical and non‑technical audiences.
