Job Description
Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, following recipes and chef instructions
Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Support senior chefs in mise en place activities and daily kitchen operations
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and high-quality food production
Assist in the proper storage and rotation of food items to minimise waste
Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input when appropriate
Help with inventory management and stock rotation
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils
Adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently during peak service times
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment in the kitchen
Qualifications
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Excellent time keeping and organisational skills




Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Food safety certification preferred
Previous kitchen or food service experience is a plus
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 11 kg
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Basic knowledge of Maldivian cuisine is advantageous
Ability to adapt to and work comfortably in a tropical climate
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
Detail-oriented approach to food preparation and presentation
