Shift Leader

Coordination and supervision of machinery and equipment assembly activities.

Role Summary The Shift Leader coordinates and supervises the activities of the machinery assembly department, organising the work of operators and ensuring compliance with production schedules, agreed timelines, quality standards and safety procedures.

The role acts as the department's technical and organisational point of reference, working with other company functions to ensure the correct progress of production orders and resolve issues arising during assembly.

Main Responsibilities

- Coordinate department personnel, assigning tasks and defining operational priorities.
- Organise machinery assembly activities in line with production schedules.
- Monitor the progress of production orders and compliance with planned timelines.
- Supervise mechanical assembly activities and verify that work is performed correctly.
- Provide technical support to operators in resolving assembly-related issues.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, bills of materials and technical documentation.
- Verify the availability of materials, components, equipment and tools required to carry out the work.
- Promptly report material shortages, anomalies, non-conformities or critical issues that could affect production progress.
- Work with other departments and support functions, including Technical Engineering, Quality and Warehouse, to resolve operational issues.




- Verify compliance with the required quality standards throughout the different assembly stages.
- Ensure the correct use of equipment, measuring instruments and other resources available within the department.
- Support the onboarding, coaching and operational training of assigned personnel.
- Promote compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, workplace organisation and the correct management of workstations.
- Contribute to improving department organisation by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, quality and productivity.

Essential Requirements

- Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly activities.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments, hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Knowledge of the main Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Ability to identify and manage technical issues during assembly activities.
- Ability to organise and schedule the department's operational activities.
- Ability to coordinate and manage personnel.
- Ability to set priorities and manage activities according to production requirements.
- Strong focus on achieving time, quality and productivity targets.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with different company functions.
- Strong attention to company procedures and safety rules.

Availability to work a standard daytime schedule, two shifts and overtime.
