Position Overview

Space Industries S.p.A., a leading aerospace company specializing in assembly, integration and testing of small satellites, is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join the Quality & Compliance team.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, reliability, and quality throughout the space production process, from component procurement to satellite integration and testing.

The role is both strategic and operational, supporting Operations, Suppliers and Customers to ensure all deliverables meet the demanding requirements of space programs.

Main Responsibilities

- Define, Plan and execute/coordinate inspections, included KIPs and MIPs, included inspection reports,
- Collaborate with AIT, testing and other departments to solve technical and quality issues,
- Manage non conformances from issue definition through NRBs, disposition and verification of effectiveness of corrective action(s),
- Support PA in contributing to Readiness Reviews
- Support PA in monitoring compliance to requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle,
- Support PA in revising technical documentation e.g. test procedures, test report.
- Support Configuration control, documentation management and traceability,
- Contribute to the preparation of EIDPs e.g. by establishing the final list of NCRs, RFWs/RFDs, "open work" list,
- Contribute to risk/opportunity analyses,
- Contribute to the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis),
- Exercise the right to alert in case of non-compliance,
- Support process audits (from internal or Customer/third parties)
- Contribute to continuous improvement

Requirements

- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.




- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance roles within the aerospace sector, preferably on small satellite or spacecraft programs.
- Strong knowledge of ECSS standards (especially ECSS-Q series) and space program requirements.
- Proven experience in space production environments, including AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test).
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (NCR, 8D, FMEA, root cause analysis).
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Solution-oriented with structured approach and focus on compliance
- Proactive approach
- Capability to work autonomously and interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams and customer.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Holder of a valid category B driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of EN 9100 and ISO 27001 management systems.
- Experience with configuration management and ERP tools.

- Gross annual salary ranging from €40.000,00 to €45.000,00 paid over 13 monthly instalments. Placement within the salary range will be determined based on the candidate's professional experience, technical skills, and the level of autonomy and responsibility required for the role
