Role Description The Gardener is a full-time, on-site role based in Rome, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor green spaces across DAC Group properties and project sites. Day-to-day tasks include planting, watering, pruning, trimming, weeding, fertilizing, and mowing lawns, as well as caring for trees, shrubs, and seasonal flowers. The Gardener will help design and implement simple landscaping layouts, ensure proper irrigation, monitor plant health, and report any issues such as pests or diseases.

The role also involves operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment, safely handling garden materials,



and keeping pathways and outdoor areas clean and presentable. Collaboration with site managers and other team members is expected to ensure that gardens and landscaped areas support DAC Group’s high standards of appearance and functionality.

Qualifications

- Experience in gardening and basic landscaping, including planting, pruning, lawn care, and plant health monitoring.
- Knowledge of local plants, soil types, irrigation methods, and seasonal garden maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, pruning tools).
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to follow established maintenance schedules.
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site and project teams.
- Previous experience in commercial or residential gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of environmental and sustainability practices in garden and landscape care is beneficial.
- Eligibility to work on-site in Rome; knowledge of local regulations and safety standards is a plus.
