Helix is building an AI powered platform for trading research and market analysis. We are looking for a technical collaborator who can turn trading ideas into clear, testable rules, develop systematic strategies and evaluate whether they remain robust beyond a backtest.

What you will work on

- Translate trading concepts and recurring market patterns into precise entry, exit and risk rules.
- Develop and backtest strategies using Python and relevant trading platforms.
- Analyse performance across different market conditions, accounting for transaction costs, slippage and drawdowns.
- Test strategies on out of sample data and investigate overfitting or look ahead bias.
- Work with our team to connect strategy research with Helix’s market data, liquidity analysis and trading tools.
- Document your methods and findings so results can be reproduced and reviewed.

What we are looking for

- Strong programming skills in Python and hands on experience with systematic trading research.




- A sound understanding of market data, backtesting and risk management.
- Experience taking a strategy from an initial hypothesis through testing and live operation.
- The ability to explain both promising results and the reasons a strategy may fail.

Experience with MQL5, MetaTrader 5, TradingView Pine Script, crypto markets or futures is welcome.
