We hope that speaks to you as much as it does to us. /li /ulpMedcor is looking to hire a Full-Time Float Nurse to provide onsite staffing relief and training in the client’s workplace clinics in both primary and occupational health care in multiple sites across multiple states. The Float Nurse is expected to deliver care according to Medcor protocols. This position requires significant travel primarily throughout the Quad Cities, Waterloo, and Des Moines. The work week is generally Monday through Friday although some weekend travel and coverage may be required. The position requires a good working relationship with multiple employers, supervising/collaborative physicians and Medcor’s medical leadership. The Float Nurse will work in close cooperation with Medcor’s operational and clinical leadership to ensure optimal clinic operation and high patient satisfaction. In addition to providing staffing support, the Float Nurse will also assist with new clinic set-up and associate training needs. /ppbCandidates will be required to be possess an unencumbered RN licensure in IL, IA, and WI and must be able to travel, sometimes with short notice, and work at various clinics in multiple cities.



/b /ph3What to expect as a Medcor Float Nurse: /h3ulliEvaluation and treatment of illnesses and injuries according to Medcor protocols while functioning as an advocate for both the patient/employee and the employer /liliProvide the following services to employees:ulliEvaluation and treatment of work related injuries /liliVarious types of surveillance testing /liliPreventive care programs (i.e. screening for hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol) /liliVarious types of immunizations (i.e. influenza, Hep B, and Tetanus) /li /ul /liliParticipate in, support, develop and help motivate others to participate in wellness programs /liliAssist with pre-employment and employee drug screens /liliDiscuss patient care with the supervising/collaborative physician, the patient’s primary care physician (where applicable) and other care-givers as appropriate /liliCompliance with CDC guidelines for vaccine storage, handling, and administration /liliInitial evaluation and stabilization of patients who present with illnesses or injuries that require a higher level of care or EMS transport /liliComplete and timely documentation of care in the electronic medical record in compliance with Medcor’s documentation standards /liliExceptional customer service skill /liliPrompt, predictable attendance /liliStrict adherence to HIPAA regulations, ability to appropriately handle sensitive/personal medical information /liliAssist with clinic set-ups and training and other duties as assigned /li /ulh3You Must /h3ulliHave valid unrestricted multi-state Nurse licensures (RN, LVN or LPN)
