Our Italy Development Department is looking for a Financial Model Analyst who will support the development team by managing and maintaining the financial models of renewable energy projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from origination to commercial operation date (COD).

The Financial Model Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the consistency, reliability and accuracy of the economic assumptions and financial simulations used to support investment decisions and management reporting. The role requires close coordination with all departments involved in project development and execution in order to maintain updated project costs, revenues and return expectations.

Consequently, the Financial Model Analyst needs to oversee globally all the aspects relevant to the financial performance of the projects, ensuring alignment between technical, commercial and financial assumptions across the different development stages.

The main responsibilities will be the following:

- Develop, maintain and update financial models for renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind and battery storage) from origination to project commissioning ;
- Support investment decision-making processes by analysing project profitability, returns and sensitivities ;
- Coordinate with Project Developers,



Energy Managers, Procurement, Construction, Project Finance and Finance Control teams to collect and update project assumptions and costs ;
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of all key financial inputs used within the development models ;
- Request and consolidate periodic (four-monthly) updates from all relevant stakeholders involved in the projects ;
- Monitor actual project evolution versus assumptions included in the business plan and explain variances ;
- Support management reporting by preparing financial summaries, investment analyses and scenario simulations ;
- Analyse different remuneration schemes and market mechanisms impacting renewable energy projects ;
- Develop financial simulations adapted to the specific characteristics of different technologies and project structures ;
- Support the continuous improvement and standardisation of the company’s financial modelling tools and methodologies.
