ph3Job Title: Project Manager, Global Services NPDI /h3 pbDepartment: /bGlobal Services PMObr/bLocation: /b /p ul liItaly (bBologna /b, bTognana /b) /li liRomania (bCluj /b) /li liSpain (bMadrid /b) /li /ul h3Description /h3 pThe Global Services NPDI Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) initiatives that enable the successful launch, service readiness, and global deployment of Vertiv products and service offerings. /p pThis role partners with Global Services, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and regional service organizations to ensure that service requirements are incorporated into product development, design transfer, and launch activities. The Project Manager provides end-to-end project leadership, governance, and execution oversight across Hardware + Services NPDI and Service-Only NPDI initiatives. /p pThe ideal candidate is a strategic, execution-oriented leader who can manage complex, cross-functional programs, identify risks, drive accountability, and translate product and technology initiatives into scalable global service capabilities. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h31. Global Services NPDI Project Leadership /h3 ul liLead assigned Hardware + Services NPDI and Service-Only NPDI projects from intake through launch and service readiness. /li liEstablish project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria. /li liCoordinate cross-functional teams across Global Services, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and regional organizations. /li liEnsure projects align with business priorities, service strategy, and global deployment requirements. /li liManage multiple concurrent projects across Vertiv’s business units and product portfolios. /li liDrive project execution and accountability across geographically distributed teams. /li /ul h32. NPDI Governance and Stage-Gate Management /h3 ul liLead Global Services participation in NPDI governance and stage-gate activities. /li liEnsure service requirements, risks, dependencies, and readiness activities are identified and addressed throughout the project lifecycle. /li liCoordinate project reviews, status updates, and gate readiness assessments. /li liTrack required deliverables and ensure appropriate Global Services assessments are completed. /li liPartner with BU PMO leads and Product Managers to align project priorities, ownership, and governance expectations. /li liEscalate risks, issues, and decisions requiring leadership attention. /li /ul h33. Service Readiness and Launch Execution /h3 ul liDevelop and manage service readiness plans for new products, technologies, and service offerings. /li liCoordinate readiness activities involving technical documentation, service procedures, training, tools, spare parts, systems, and regional capabilities. /li liPartner with NPDI Engineers and regional service teams to identify and close readiness gaps. /li liEnsure service deliverables are aligned with product launch and deployment timelines. /li liSupport design transfer, product introduction, and global service implementation initiatives.



/li liEstablish launch readiness criteria and monitor progress through implementation and stabilization. /li /ul h34. Portfolio and Resource Management /h3 ul liSupport the evaluation and prioritization of new NPDI project intake across the four business units. /li liCoordinate with BU PMO leads to assess project scope, service involvement, resource requirements, and timing. /li liMaintain accurate project status, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource information. /li liIdentify capacity constraints and coordinate resource planning with Global Services leadership. /li liSupport portfolio reporting and provide visibility into project health, progress, and emerging risks. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of Global Services PMO processes, standards, and operating models. /li /ul h35. Cross-Functional and Global Collaboration /h3 ul liServe as the primary Global Services project contact for assigned NPDI initiatives. /li liBuild strong working relationships with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, BU PMOs, and regional service leadership. /li liFacilitate alignment across global and regional stakeholders with competing priorities. /li liEnsure project decisions, actions, and dependencies are clearly communicated. /li liPromote consistency in service readiness and project execution across regions. /li liSupport the development of global standards, playbooks, and repeatable implementation processes. /li /ul h36. Digital Service and Technology Initiatives /h3 ul liLead or support projects involving digital service capabilities, connected products, field technologies, and service transformation. /li liCoordinate cross-functional initiatives involving digital workflows, AI-enabled service tools, predictive maintenance, and connected service solutions. /li liEnsure technology initiatives address operational requirements and deliver measurable business value. /li liPartner with technical teams to manage implementation milestones, dependencies, and deployment readiness. /li liSupport the integration of new technologies into global service operations. /li /ul h37. Risk Management and Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liMaintain project risk, issue, action, and dependency registers. /li liProactively identify schedule, resource, technical, operational, and service readiness risks. /li liDevelop mitigation plans and coordinate timely resolution of project issues. /li liCapture lessons learned and incorporate improvements into future NPDI initiatives. /li liDrive improvements in project governance, execution discipline, and launch effectiveness. /li liProvide leadership with clear recommendations and escalation paths when project performance is at risk. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline. /li lib5+ years of experience in project management,



program management, operations, engineering, product development, or a related field. /b /li liDemonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects. /li liExperience with new product introduction, product development, service operations, or technology implementation. /li liStrong project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder management skills. /li liExperience working with geographically distributed teams and multiple organizational functions. /li liAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment. /li liStrong written, verbal, and executive communication skills. /li liAbility to analyze complex problems, establish priorities, and drive actionable outcomes. /li liWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience in critical infrastructure, data centers, power systems, thermal management, cooling technologies, or related industries. /li liExperience with NPDI, stage-gate governance, design transfer, or product lifecycle management. /li liExperience supporting global service organizations or regional capability development. /li liPMP certification or equivalent project management experience. /li liLean Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience. /li liExperience managing digital transformation, field technology, or service technology projects. /li liFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar project management tools. /li liExperience developing project governance frameworks, operating models, or PMO standards. /li /ul h3Core Competencies /h3 ul libProject Leadership: /b Ability to lead complex initiatives from planning through execution and launch. /li libStrategic Thinking: /b Ability to connect project activities to business priorities and global service strategy. /li libExecution Excellence: /b Strong ownership of timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and results. /li libStakeholder Management: /b Ability to align cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority. /li libRisk Management: /b Ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies. /li libGlobal Collaboration: /b Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, and business units. /li libCommunication: /b Ability to communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to technical and executive audiences. /li libContinuous Improvement: /b Commitment to improving project execution, governance, and service readiness. /li /ul h3Travel /h3 pUp to 25% travel, including domestic and international travel, based on project and business requirements. /p h3Position Impact /h3 pThis role ensures that Vertiv’s products, technologies, and service offerings are effectively integrated into global service operations.
