The Role
Do you dream of a career that combines your love for technology and the environment? Look no further!
The Operations Intern will join the O&M; Monitoring & Optimization Team, based in our Milan office. The candidate will support the day-to-day management of work order tickets on Sonnedix’s CMMS for the Italian renewable portfolio, monitoring plants not yet covered by the Monitoring Control Center (MCC) and checking that tickets opened by the MCC are correctly and completely filled in by the O&M; (Operations & Maintenance) contractors. Where information is missing, the intern will proactively source it directly from the O&M; contractors and update the CMMS accordingly, directly improving data quality and responsiveness across the Italian fleet’s ticket management process.
By taking ownership of this process the intern will be encouraged to identify ways to automate parts of this workflow using AI tools and to support ad hoc deep-dives into plant daily data, to optimize workflow and increase plants performance. The role also involves building strong working relationships with the O&M; contractors, the O&M; supervisors and the MCC team based in Spain, working closely across the wider Operations team to strengthen ticket management.
Desirable skills:
- Energy Engineering degree or related engineering discipline
- Curiosity and interest in the renewable energy sector
- Interest in developing AI-driven automation for operational workflows
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others to drive forward key security objectives
