Garmin Italy Technologies is now boarding a Senior Dev Ops Engineer.

You will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving the cloud platforms that power Garmin products and services, helping engineering teams deliver software faster, more reliably, and at scale.

What you’ll do:

- Design, provision, and manage resilient cloud environments in Microsoft Azure, leveraging automation to ensure the highest standards of security, performance, scalability, and availability.
- Lead the implementation and evolution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Bicep, developing reusable, modular, and maintainable infrastructure solutions for Garmin cloud platforms.
- Design and maintain cloud platform services, ensuring consistency, governance, compliance, and operational excellence across Azure environments.
- Architect and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines that enable engineering teams to deploy infrastructure and software with confidence, consistency, and minimal manual intervention.
- Design, operate, and optimize containerized applications and Kubernetes-based workloads, supporting cloud-native architectures and services.
- Drive the adoption of engineering best practices for automation, observability, monitoring, alerting, and operational reliability.
- Lead and contribute to architectural reviews, providing recommendations for cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, scalability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and platform issues through deep root cause analysis, ensuring long-term platform stability and resilience.
- Partner with Developers, QA Engineers,



Architects, and Product teams to deliver scalable technical solutions that support business objectives.
- Mentor engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.

What you’ll need:

- Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline plus at least 5 years of experience in Dev Ops or related infrastructure-focused roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, including networking, identity management, governance, security, monitoring, and scalability best practices.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Bicep.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade Azure environments at scale.
- Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation languages such as Power Shell, Python, and Bash.
- Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows and Dev Ops practices.
- Thorough understanding of networking, security, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to drive technical decisions and influence cloud architecture, automation strategy, and operational best practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership within cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented attitude, excellent collaboration skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English.

- Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO)




- Experience designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes platforms.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services and experience with Cloud Formation.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience in leading technical teams.
- Familiarity with marine technologies, navigation systems, and connected devices.

Pay Range: €40.000 – €56.000
