Job Overview For our Rome office, we are looking for a PMO (Project Management Officer) to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The successful candidate will work within RIMOND’s Innovation Lab, in close collaboration with RIMOND Group’s Administration team, combining management, financial and technical skills with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and European projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Administrative Management &
- EU Reporting: Administrative and accounting management of the Innovation Lab, with a focus on the financial reporting of projects funded by the European Union.
- Coordination &
- Technical Support: Technical coordination of internal projects and operational/technical support for consultancy projects (e.g. GENERA and RESTAU).
- Research &
- Business Models: Research activities on sustainable finance, innovative financial instruments and business models applied to energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.
- Project Innovation: Development of new research, development and innovation (R&D;&I;) proposals and projects.
- Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs): Support in the preparation of business plans for the structuring of Public-Private Partnerships.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Management Engineering, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in similar roles, such as PMO, R&D; project management, or consultancy within the energy sector.
- Proven experience in administrative and accounting management and financial reporting of European-funded projects, such as Horizon Europe, LIFE, or other EU framework programmes.
- Strong skills in Business Plan preparation and development.
- Knowledge of economic and financial analysis of energy investments, including the assessment of key parameters such as Payback Period, NPV and IRR.
- Knowledge,



including academic knowledge, of the main energy transition technologies, such as industrial photovoltaic systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), smart grids and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Solid knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within international and multicultural teams.
- Strong interest in and passion for innovation applied to the energy sector.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Previous experience with projects involving the Conto Termico incentive scheme and knowledge of the broader landscape of energy efficiency incentives in Italy would be considered a plus.

Compensation and Employment Terms This position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave.

The employment level and compensation package will be determined based on the requirements of the role, the candidate's skills, qualifications, and professional experience.

The gross annual salary (RAL) ranges from €28,000 to €35,000, in addition to any benefits and contractual provisions provided under the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CCNL).
