About the opportunity

PeoItaly, an employment agency authorised by the Italian Ministry of Labour, is conducting this search on behalf of a confidential international general contractor specialising in the design, construction and turnkey delivery of major Data Centre and mission-critical projects across Europe.

The company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the project team supporting a large-scale Data Centre development in Bertonico, in the province of Lodi.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by the client and will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical construction activities, ensuring that works are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in accordance with the required technical and quality standards.

The role involves managing project teams, supervisors, foremen and subcontractors while coordinating closely with design, construction and other project disciplines. The Project Manager will drive delivery from planning and procurement through installation, commissioning and final handover.

This opportunity is particularly suitable for an experienced construction Project Manager with a strong electrical background who is accustomed to managing complex site-based projects, coordinating multiple subcontractors and driving productivity, programme, quality and safety in technically demanding construction environments.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage day-to-day project execution, ensuring that works progress in accordance with the agreed programme, budget, quality requirements and project objectives.
- Develop and implement effective weekly and daily work plans to drive productivity and maintain project milestones.
- Supervise and monitor construction progress, proactively identifying delays, constraints and potential risks to delivery.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, monitoring performance, productivity, manpower levels and progress against the agreed programme.
- Track labour requirements and resource allocation and maintain accurate productivity and progress records.
- Lead, mentor and support project teams, supervisors and foremen, promoting accountability and effective site execution.
- Work closely with foremen to ensure that the required materials, equipment, technical information and resources are available to execute works safely and efficiently.




- Coordinate activities with other contractors and construction disciplines to ensure smooth sequencing, interface management and safe site operations.
- Liaise with design teams and subcontractors to ensure that drawings, technical information and project deliverables are issued and executed within scope, budget and programme requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement, construction and commissioning teams to support the timely delivery of electrical packages.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and key project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress, priorities and project objectives.
- Attend and contribute to project, construction, planning, coordination and progress meetings.
- Review project documentation, site records and foremen reports, ensuring that issues and outstanding actions are identified and closed out promptly.
- Monitor project quality requirements and ensure that construction activities are delivered to the required technical and workmanship standards.
- Uphold the highest health and safety standards through the implementation and monitoring of project procedures.
- Drive the resolution of construction, coordination and programme issues that could affect project delivery.
- Support the project through installation, completion, commissioning and final handover.
- Ensure effective close-out of outstanding works, documentation and project issues prior to completion.

Candidate profile

We are interested in candidates with:

- Significant professional experience in Project Management or Construction Management within electrical construction environments.
- A strong technical background in electrical systems and installations.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale and technically complex construction projects.
- Strong experience managing electrical subcontractors, supervisors, foremen and site teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage construction programmes, productivity, labour and resource allocation.
- Practical experience coordinating electrical construction activities from installation through commissioning and handover.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing,



multidisciplinary coordination and programme delivery.
- Experience working closely with design, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
- The ability to review and manage project documentation, progress reporting and site records.
- Strong awareness of construction quality and health and safety requirements.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Availability to work full-time on site in Bertonico, in the province of Lodi.

Previous experience in Data Centres or other mission-critical environments is highly valued.

Candidates with relevant electrical project-delivery experience gained within large-scale MEP construction, industrial facilities, pharmaceutical plants, energy infrastructure, advanced manufacturing or other technically complex construction environments may also be considered.
