It's fast-paced, highly technical and full of the sort of moving parts where strong commissioning leadership makes or breaks the job.



That's why we're looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Lead who knows how to bring systems online properly, manage multiple specialists, and keep both the quality and the momentum exactly where they need to be. /p h3What You'll Do /h3 pYou'll be the person who makes sure the commissioning doesn't just happen - it happens in the right sequence, with the right documentation, and to the standard the client expects. /p pThat includes: /p ul liReviewing IFC drawings, specs and technical submittals /li liWorking closely with the PM and QS on any commissioning-related cost impacts /li liMentoring junior engineers and supporting their development /li liDeveloping and implementing the commissioning plan /li liCoordinating commissioning with planners, package engineers and vendors /li liAttending client commissioning meetings and ensuring alignment /li liGetting all descriptions of operations and setpoints approved /li liEnsuring checklists, scripts, and documentation meet client standards /li liManaging specialist vendors and ensuring their activities align with programme /li liVerifying and witnessing commissioning activities /li liRunning and updating commissioning trackers, logs and weekly progress reports /liliLeading walkdowns,



tag walks and system sign-off /li liManaging snag lists and ensuring issues are closed out quickly /li liEnsuring client training is completed on schedule /li /ul h3Quality Risk /h3 pYou'll help define system boundaries, manage benchmarks, oversee test packs, and ensure everything is accurate, compliant and ready for inspection. You'll also take a proactive role in identifying risks, reporting them clearly, and helping the project team stay ahead of possible delays. /p h3Communication Commercial Awareness /h3 pYou'll issue weekly commissioning and risk reports, advise on potential variations, and work closely with QS and PM teams to avoid surprises. Clear communication is essential - especially when something might impact programme. /p h3Who This Suits /h3 pYou'll enjoy this role if you prefer action over bureaucracy, responsibility over hand-holding, and clarity over chaos.
