Strong market positioning and leading technology support growth across the energy transition and expanding sectors such as hydrogen, data centers, and e-mobility. /p br/ pThis role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about leading with purpose and contributing to transformative solutions in the energy sector. /p br/ h3How you’ll make an impact /h3 ul liLead and coordinate the secondary (electrical design) scope, ensuring the integrity and reliable operation of substation systems from concept through implementation. /li liCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across internal and external teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes. /li liPrepare, review, and validate technical specifications, equipment selections, and key engineering deliverables such as SLDs, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. /li liDevelop and verify protection and control schemes, perform engineering calculations, and support FAT and SAT activities. /li liEnsure compliance with applicable standards, grid codes, and Hitachi Energy quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements. /li liCollaborate closely with civil, primary, protection, and control engineers to ensure seamless interfaces, constructability, and efficient cable routing. /li liAct as the technical point of contact for customers, suppliers, and project stakeholders on all secondary engineering matters. /li liSupport project execution by assessing scope changes, managing risks and opportunities, and contributing to scheduling and change management activities.
/li liContribute to tendering activities by preparing engineering estimates, coordinating technical documentation, and performing risk assessments. /li liSupport installation, testing, commissioning, and customer handover while building trusted relationships and driving continuous improvement through lessons learned. /li /ul br/ h3Your Background /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. /li liMinimum 4 years of experience in secondary engineering for substations or industrial power systems, from design through commissioning. /li liKnowledge of protection concepts such as differential, distance, and overcurrent protection, as well as FAT and SAT processes. /li liStrong commitment to safety and workplace health and safety practices, combined with curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies. /li liCollaborative, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and knowledge of power systems, renewable energy, and transmission systems. /li liProficiency in written and spoken English and Italian is required.
