A lovely family based in Arco della Pace, Milan, is looking for a warm, reliable and long-term nanny for their school-aged son.

Position Details

Location: Arco della Pace, Milan

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

Schedule: 2–3 weekdays + 1 weekend day or half day per week

Weekdays: Approximately 3:45 PM – 7:45/8:45 PM (4–5 hours)

Weekend: One full or half day, with flexible hours depending on the family’s needs

Salary: €12–14/hour, depending on experience

Start date: ASAP

About the Role

The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending quality time with children and who is enthusiastic about playing, engaging and creating a strong bond with the child.

The child particularly enjoys imaginative play with small figures and toys, so someone who naturally enjoys getting involved in this type of play would be an excellent fit.

Consistency, reliability and a genuine interest in staying with the family for several years are especially important.

Main Responsibilities

- School pick-up and taking the child to activities and appointments
- Engaging in creative, playful and imaginative activities
- Planning fun games, creative activities and outings




- Encouraging the child’s interests and development through play
- Preparing simple, healthy meals
- Tidying the child’s bedroom and play areas
- Occasional ironing of the school uniform when urgently needed

Requirements

- Very strong English or Serbo-Croatian is essential
- Italian is a plus
- Previous childcare experience preferred, although the family is flexible regarding years of experience
- No specific childcare qualifications required
- Warm, caring, energetic and playful personality
- Genuine interest in a long-term position
- Weekend availability is mandatory, with flexibility regarding the exact hours
- Strong commitment to staying with the family for several years

Additional Information

There is no screen time with the nanny.

No general household cleaning is required, as the family already has a cleaner three times a week.

When the family travels, the nanny will continue to be paid. Travel dates will be planned in advance. Where possible, the family may ask to recuperate some of these hours at another mutually convenient time.
