The treatment of titanium (Ti) prosthetic surfaces, the material most commonly used for dental implants, aims to increase the contact points between the device and biological tissues to promote integration.
The osseointegration of a Ti implant in the jawbones happens through three main events: the early immune-inflammatory response, the activation of angiogenesis, and osteogenesis.
