Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to provide products counseling support to the Agentic AI organization within Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS offers a wide range of IT products and services for cloud customers, including on-demand compute, storage, database, AI, and other technology products. In this role, you will work closely with internal business clients to advise on complex legal issues, support new product launches and strategic initiatives, and provide subject matter expertise on regulatory and compliance issues. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Key job responsibilities
- Identifying legal risks and proposing mitigation strategies
- Advising on regulatory issues (including privacy-related issues)
- Overseeing compliance, negotiating strategic technology agreements, and providing input on business strategy
- Developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways
- Helping build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly
A day in the life
In a typical day, you may meet with several of your client teams to discuss upcoming product launches, provide advice to a business client on a contract, develop a strategy document for a novel legal issue, and join a meeting with business leaders to review an important project.
