Job DescriptionHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Electrical Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks within our Rolling Stock Engineering Department. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli - IT.
Accountabilities
- Prepare System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for electrical components
- Analyze and assess technical documentation from Suppliers
- Prepare and verify electrical system installation/integration drawings/specifications (including material selection, electromagnetic/thermal analysis, etc.)
- Perform simulations to optimize electrical systems performance and energy efficiency
- Conduct design reviews (both internal and with suppliers) for the assigned work package, under the supervision of relevant Engineering Managers and Project Engineers
- Attend at system stand-alone type test and review of type test reports
- Support manufacturing, testing and validation phases
- Review design documentation with customers and suppliers
- Prepare electrical schematics, collaborating with mechanical design teams to ensure seamless electromechanical integration
- Prepare the Bill of Materials (BoM) of electrical schematics
- Ensure compliance
