Your mission
• Develop new business opportunities in Italy
• Build, manage, and maintain existing customer relationships with waste to energy producers, brokers, and logistics service providers
• Identify customer needs and develop suitable business concepts
• Coordinate national and international material flows in line with customer and market requirements
• Negotiate trading agreements and successfully close contracts
• Establish strategic partnerships with waste producers across Italy
• Achieve sales and procurement targets in coordination with management
• Monitor market trends in the waste management, recycling, and energy sectors
• Analyze pricing structures, logistics costs, and regulatory impacts on the profitability of individual business cases
• Stay informed about current Italian and EU waste regulations (e.g., permits and transboundary waste shipment regulations)
• Ensure all trading activities comply with applicable environmental and legal requirements
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and face-to-face customer meetings
• Work closely with internal departments such as Trading, Legal, Operations, and Finance.
• Regular travel to production facilities is an essential part of the role
• Visit the company headquarters in Bremen (Germany) once per month
Your profile
• You have a proven experience in business development, sales or procurement, ideally within the waste management, recycling, energy or related industries.
