Reporting to the Supervisor of Planning, this position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing existing transit service and infrastructure,
and recommending improvements to be implemented based on the City’s needs and in accordance with Transit’s Service Guidelines. Develop short-term and long-term service plans to determine future budget and resource requirements. Review and provide technical comments on site plans, zoning proposals, and subdivision plans to ensure that the City’s goals around ridership growth, public service and safety are met or exceeded.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Analyse data and make recommendations for change. Monitor route performance data, ridership trends, and forecast future service demand to be incorporated into annual service plans. Prepare technical reports for recommended service hours and budget to best meet the needs of Brampton residents. Analyse what is needed to maintain appropriate standards of service and make recommendations for immediate change.
Undertake analysis for inputs to strategic transit planning activities. Provide longer-term recommendations for inclusion in strategic documents such as ridership growth strategy, S
