What We Are Looking For
For a leading international Defence company based in Rome, we are looking for an Embedded C++ Software Engineer to support the development of advanced real-time and safety-critical systems.
The selected candidate will be involved in the design, development, integration and validation of software applications running on embedded platforms based on Linux and RTOS technologies, contributing to mission-critical Defence programs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain embedded software applications in C++;
- Implement software solutions for real-time and safety-critical systems;
- Develop and integrate software components on Linux and VxWorks platforms;
- Design and optimize multithreaded applications and synchronization mechanisms;
- Develop communication interfaces and networking functionalities;
- Manage serial communications and protocol integration activities;
- Support software integration, testing and troubleshooting activities;
- Collaborate with hardware, system engineering and validation teams;
- Produce and maintain technical documentation according to project standards;
- Contribute to software verification and validation activities.
Requirements
Mandatory
- Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related disciplines;
- Proven experience in Embedded Software Development;
- Strong knowledge of C++;
- Good knowledge of Python;
- Experience with Embedded Linux environments;
- Experience with RTOS architectures and real-time systems;
- Knowledge of VxWorks or similar OS;
- Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency and synchronization mechanisms;
- Experience with communication protocols and networking concepts;
