Digital Communications & Student Services Assistant

The Umbra Institute, an American study abroad institution based in Perugia, Italy, is looking for a Digital Communications & Student Services Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis for a maternity leave replacement. The position will primarily focus on digital communications, social media, website content, SEO, blogging, and the use of AI tools, with a smaller portion of the role dedicated to student services and administrative support. Main Responsibilities
Digital Communications & Marketing
- Manage and develop the Institute’s social media channels, including planning, creating, and publishing engaging content.
- Create, edit, and update content for the Institute’s website and blog.




- Contribute to the Institute’s SEO strategy, including keyword research, content optimization, and monitoring website performance.
- Develop written, visual, and multimedia content promoting the Institute, its academic programs, student experiences, events, and activities.
- Explore and effectively use AI tools and generative AI for content creation, research, digital marketing, and workflow optimization.
- Assist with newsletters, promotional materials, and other digital communications.
- Monitor social media and website analytics and use data to improve content and engagement.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity and tone across the Institute’s digital platforms.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to gather information and develop content.
