We are currently looking for a Senior Property & Engineering Underwriter to be based in Milan, Italy, on a full‑time basis, reporting to the Head of Property & Engineering, Italy.
In this role, you will contribute to the growth of Munich Re Specialty's Property & Engineering business in Italy by developing profitable business opportunities, strengthening broker and client relationships,
and delivering underwriting excellence. You will play a key role in shaping our market presence while working closely with colleagues across our international network.
Responsibilities
- Support the continued growth and development of Munich Re Specialty's Property & Engineering business in Italy.
- Execute underwriting strategies aligned with regional and global business objectives.
- Identify, develop and secure profitable business opportunities while strengthening Munich Re's presence in the Italian market.
- Underwrite Property & Engineering risks and actively manage portfolio performance to ensure profitability, underwriting discipline and data quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients and distribution partners to drive sustainable growth.
- Monitor market trends, emerging risks and competitor activity to support underwriting decisions and business strategy.
