For our client, a leading company in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for a Senior Sales Manager.
The role will focus on driving sales strategy, key account management and business development across the Italian energy market.
Main activities
- Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, acting as the main commercial point of reference for the Italian market;
- Developing and executing the sales strategy for Italy, in line with regional objectives;
- Managing contract negotiations and tender processes in collaboration with Sales, Legal, Commercial and other relevant internal teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements;
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Project Management, Engineering, Product Development, Marketing, Logistics and other corporate functions, to ensure alignment between customer requirements and the company's capabilities;
- Identifying and developing relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including utilities, energy producers, developers, investors, EPCs and other relevant market operators;
- Managing the full sales cycle for solutions, as well as service, maintenance and post-sales opportunities, from business development and pipeline development through to contract negotiation and closing;
- Developing account strategies and capture plans for key customers, identifying new business opportunities and assessing related risks and market potential;
- Maintaining a detailed understanding of national energy policies, incentive programs, and permitting procedures affecting the energy sector.
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales, ideally within the energy or renewable energy sector;
- Proven experience in business development, key account management and complex B2B sales;
- Experience in contract negotiation and tender management;
- Strong understanding of the Italian
