Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring quick resolution of complex customer challenges and empowering team members with your functional knowledge.

Working across all levels of the business, you will contribute to the growth of overall business beyond service,



requiring collaboration with team members at the point of impact and across the organization. You’ll identify and implement opportunities to improve, operating as a change agent to ensure processes and standard work are being sustained and effective.

This position reports to the Italy Service Manager and is part of the Italy Service Team. You’ll be based in the Triveneto Region (ideally in Padova or Venezia ), however the role will be fully remote.

Responsibilities

- Delight customers through timely response to their needs, coupled with clear communication & Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided a professional after-sales service.
- Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions. Conduct service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts (main focus in Medical Microscopy and Compound/Stereo Microscopy).
- Respond to customer support calls within an assigned territory. Diagnose system failures and determine most cost-effective solution.



Escalate complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system & Help the organization grow by high quality support of our existing customers and by helping us identify new customers and opportunities during your time in the field.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Engineer Degree Required or similar
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Excellent Microsoft Office application skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel within the Triveneto Region and eventually to the rest of Italy (Up to 70% travel). Must possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment & tools.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Confocal systems (maintenance and repairs).
- Handling repairs, calibrations, upgrades and allied tasks. Networking, influencing, and communicating effectively across functions and at all levels.
- Training or coaching experience.

Working Conditions

This role is classified under Italy’s applicable CCNL CBA, defining minimum terms, job classification, and baseline progression frameworks.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Annual Salary Range: € 43.000 - € 57.000 (based on experience, skills, and role-related competencies)

Premio / Incentive Pay: Eligible for bonus / incentive pay, targeting 10% of base annual salary (subject to eligibility criteria and performance conditions).
