About the company and the roleWe are supporting an innovative semiconductor equipment business developing electrochemical deposition solutions for advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration. The company combines process and equipment development in a highly technical R&D; environment.
Our client is looking for an experienced technical Project Manager to own internal development plans and joint development programmes with foundries, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test providers, and materials partners. You will align microfabrication and electrochemistry teams around one plan, protect delivery commitments and build the project management function as the portfolio grows.
What you will do· Own programme scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies and critical paths, maintaining clear baselines across internal and partner programmes.
· Coordinate process development, microfabrication, metrology and sample flow through weekly planning, realistic laboratory capacity plans and monthly re-baselining.
· Manage budgets covering materials, external services,



tooling and laboratory time; identify risks and agree corrective action early.
· Lead monthly programme reviews with the CEO and leadership team, and manage partner reporting, change control and escalations.
· Drive process qualification and maintain traceable results and decisions through to programme completion.
· Lead across teams without direct authority. Initially there are no direct reports; from year two, recruit and lead the programme managers and project engineers required by the portfolio.
What we are looking for· Degree in Engineering, Physics or Chemistry and 10+ years managing technical development programmes involving new processes or equipment.
· Experience managing customer-facing development programmes. Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing equipment experience is strongly preferred; chemistry or electrochemistry exposure is a strong plus.
