Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving sustainability performance in your assigned area of responsibility. Each day, you will support the implementation of the group-wide sustainability strategy and business-specific priorities by applying in-depth knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within your own unit and across ABB.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the Operations HSE Management in both Frosinone & Ferentino ABB Sites. Main stakeholders are operational employees, managers and HSE team; externally from analytical laboratories and consultants to regulatory authorities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure company operations comply with Italian environmental laws, primarily the Legislative Decree 152/2006 and regional regulations.
- Permitting & Authorizations: Manage and coordinate, in collaboration with the Facility Management, key environmental permits, including AUA and water discharge management (Title IV).
- Waste Management: Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management ensuring, with the collaboration of the Facility Management, proper classification, labeling, temporary storage, and tracking through the national systems (RENTRI / registers).
- ISO 14001 & ISO 50001: Conduct internal compliance audits, identify operational gaps, and implement corrective action plans. Manage both the ISO 14001 & ISO 50001 Management Systems.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Liaison: Collaborate with the HSE Manager and external authorities
