We are conducting a confidential search for a Medical Technology Commercial Director to lead commercial strategy for a medtech organisation based in Bologna, working hybrid. Emilia-Romagna is home to a strong medical device and biomedical cluster, and this is a director-level role for a commercial leader who understands both the clinical buyer and the Italian public procurement system.

In this role, you will own the commercial strategy and revenue targets across Italian and select European markets, lead navigation of public tender processes (gare d'appalto) and hospital procurement cycles, and manage relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical departments, and hospital purchasing committees. You will lead distributor and agent management across regions, oversee market access and reimbursement strategy for regulated medical devices, and build the commercial business case for new product launches.

You will build and lead a team of area sales managers and clinical specialists, partner with regulatory affairs on CE marking and MDR compliance implications for commercial timelines,



and represent the commercial function to executive leadership and international headquarters. You will also drive pricing strategy and competitive positioning across a fragmented, regionally-governed healthcare market.
